Juvenile players and their mentors at Robertstown GFC on the pitch at Maurice Musgrave Park

Could you lend a hand?

Our club is run by volunteers — the people who coach the teams, sell the lotto tickets, run the fundraisers, open the gates, make the tea and keep everything moving week after week. It is their time that makes Robertstown GFC work.

If you think you could help, in any way at all, we would love to hear from you. You do not need to have played the game, and you do not need to know anything about running a club. Whatever time you can give, and whatever you are good at, there is a place for it here.

Mentoring and coaching

We are always looking for people to mentor and coach our teams, from our youngest Academy groups right up to our adult sides. Full training is provided for anyone who is available to mentor any of our teams — coaching courses, guidance and support from experienced coaches. Anyone working with our underage teams will also need Garda vetting, and we will help you arrange that.

Fundraising

Fundraising keeps the club on its feet — it pays for the pitches, the equipment and the running costs. There is plenty to do: selling and promoting our weekly lotto, club draw tickets, helping at our fundraisers and events, collecting at matches, or coming up with the next idea.

Behind the scenes

Not everything happens on the pitch. We could always use help with club admin and paperwork, our social media and website, grounds and pitch maintenance, driving and lifts, and grant applications. Skills like these are just as valuable to the club as coaching.
