A Hard-Fought Draw in Difficult Conditions
It was a night that tested the girls in every possible way, with heavy rain making conditions extremely difficult from the very start. Despite the weather, the girls showed fantastic character, determination and a real willingness to battle for every ball.
From the first whistle, they worked incredibly hard and never allowed the difficult conditions to affect their attitude. There was plenty of commitment right across the pitch, with the girls working for one another and showing exactly what this team is all about.
The heavy rain made the game challenging, with the pitch becoming difficult to play on and the ball proving tricky to control. But credit to both teams, they continued to compete and put on a great battle.
Our girls gave everything they had right up until the final whistle. There were plenty of moments where they showed great determination, defended bravely and worked hard to create opportunities going forward.
In the end, neither side could find the winning goal and we came away with a well-earned draw.
While there may be a little disappointment that we couldn’t take the win, the girls should be incredibly proud of themselves. To put in that level of effort and commitment in such miserable conditions says a lot about the character of this team.
As coaches, parents and supporters, we are beyond proud of every single one of them. ❤️ They gave everything out there last night and never stopped fighting.

Next Up
There isn’t much time to rest, as we go again next Thursday night at 7pm in Robertstown, where we take on Athgarvan.
We’d love to see plenty of support for the girls, so come along, get behind them and give them the encouragement they deserve!
